  • 15 grams Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Egg Beaten

Equipment

Method

  1. Lay out the puff pastry sheet on the grease proof paper and cut one or more 10x15cm rectangles with the pizza wheel
  2. Visually identify the centre of the rectangle and on one side make a series of small cuts to create the lattice finish
  3. Add the cheese to the other side of the rectangle (the non cut side)
  4. Spoon on the beans on to the cheese making sure to get them as centred as possible
  5. Fold the lattice side over the beans and cheese and crimp with a fork to seal the slice
  6. Take a beaten egg and wash the pastry with the egg using a pastry brush
  7. Cook the slice in the oven for 20 minutes until lovely and golden brown
