Large Tortilla Wrap
I recommend you go for a large flour tortilla wrap. it will be strong enough to take the heat and compression of the toasted sandwich maker while being big enough to allow you to cram it full of cheese and onion.
Red Leicester
Red Leicester is a great choice for this toasted wrap recipe as it has a milder flavor that a lot of cheeses, such as cheddar, and this goes really well with the red onion.
Additionally, Red Leicester has a good moisture content meaning it will melt really well in the toasted sandwich maker ensuring you get a lovely gooey center for your toasted wrap.
Red Onion
For this wrap recipe I opted for red onion as I didn’t want the onion to overpower the flavor of the wrap.
Chili Jam
The chili jam gives this wrap a good kick of sweet and heat and elevates it above the standard cheese and onion flavor.
To be sure of getting a good kick from the chili jam I make sure to add a nice thick layer on the wrap and also I recommend you buy a high quality brand.
I went with Tesco Finest but you can pick up similar items at all major supermarkets and Amazon.
